Portbury Neighbourhood Area designation

Portbury photo church 2007 005

Portbury Parish Council have made an application to North Somerset Council to designate a neighbourhood area.  This is the area within which a neighbourhood plan can be prepared for the Parish.  A neighbourhood plan will help to shape the parish in forthcoming years and will be used to help make decisions on planning applications within the parish.

The boundary is that of the parish boundary. The reasons for this are set out in the application letter which you can see below. This also contains a map showing the location of the parish boundary.

Consultation on the neighbourhood area closed on Monday 29 February, but you can view the comments online.

North Somerset Council approved the neighbourhood area in 23 March 2016 and will publish this decision shortly.

Please contact Celia Dring on 01934 426244 if you have any questions regarding the process or email planning.policy @n-somerset.gov.uk.
