The site immediately adjoins the proposed residential allocation at Moor Lane, Backwell, which is currently the subject of a planning application (ref: 15/P/1916/0) for the erection of up to 65 dwellings with associated car parking, landscaping, open space and access. We consider that it would be possible to extend this allocation, to the west, to include this land.We do not consider that an allocation of this nature would be contrary to the adopted Backwell Neighbourhood plan.

Land off Rodney Road, Backwell, is a suitable location for new residential development and should be allocated for residential development.

We consider that it would be possible to extend this allocation, to the west, to include the land edged red on the attached plan. We do not consider that an allocation of this nature would be contrary to the adopted Backwell Neighbourhood plan which acknowledges that there is a need within the village for more smaller dwellings (Planning Policy: Development 2)

A site proposal for The Veale, Bleadon The site is located at the eastern edge of Bleadon village and is currently used for agricultural purposes. The site is bounded on three sides by existing housing, with a strip of woodland to the south. The site directly adjoins the existing settlement and represents a natural extension to the village, with good access to the existing facilities.

These representations have been submitted by Pegasus Group on behalf of The Bristol Port Company. The representations relate to land at Portbury (Court House Farm) with reference to Policy DM49 of the Part 1 Plan. Reference is also made to land at Shipway Farm, Portbury for port related uses insofar of the Council's general approach to identifying employment land.
