It proposes a maximum of 20 dwellings, and development to be in keeping with the character of the area and sympathetic to the local residents and their properties. The Council supports the local resident’s group in their assertion that the land was bequeathed to two charities who mainly provide services for the elderly and the owners of the land should respect the spirit of the bequest

Site Allocations Plan March 2016 Housing Allocations Policy SA2: Housing Allocations

  • Comment ID: 11199745//12
the Weston Villages sites are employment led allocations requiring the delivery of, on average, 1.5 jobs per house as part of the Framework S106 Agreement These covenants provide very little scope for deviation from the delivery of the jobs and could lead to significant delay in the delivery of the housing should the level of employment provision fail to keep apace

Land north of Nailsea, as shown in our Concept Plan attached, should be allocated for residential development. It is a suitable, available sustainable site for housing. We have concern on deliverability of proposed sites, particularly north west Nailsea, constrained and made unviable by pylons, so other available sites should be considered.
