Moor Road. This site should be designated as a Local Green Space for several reasons. The area adjacent to the curtilage of the Grade II Listed Building at the Grange and the remnant orchard should be excluded from the site allocation as they have huge historical interest and contribute significantly to the visual character of the village.

This area is ecologically sensitive; it is also close to the Kenn Moor SSSI and a YACWAG nature reserve. The remnant orchard is a Section 41 habitat of special interest. It is a UK BAP priority habitat and should be retained. An extremely rare fungus (Orchard Tooth Fungus) has been found on one of the trees in the orchard, the only record for North Somerset - only known from 14 sites nationally.

The rhyne is part of a continuous riparian habitat which is an important wildlife corridor along the current settlement boundary and it forms a natural boundary which has landscape significance. Moor Lane is very narrow and any increase in the volume of traffic on this stretch of road would cause severe problems that would impact on Kenn Moor Road which is another narrow access road, plagued with commuter parking.
