Your proposed plan for 28 new houses to be built on this site in no way answers or defeats the previous objections to the proposal for 59 houses by Redwood. All the points made about changing the character of the area, the lack of local amenities, especially places at Wrington School, the extreme danger from traffic on local roads, the proven risk of flooding, all these are in no way obviated by the reduced number of houses. If the government's stated objective in enhancing local participation means anything at all, then this is a model instance of the need for such advice, and the inadvisability of following top-down regulation which cannot logically counter local knowledge and interests.
