We believe the strategy is well set out and although the 20,985 figure is somewhat disappointingly high, North Somerset Council have distributed the housing in a well thought out structured approach. We are alarmed that there will be another review before the end of 2018 and, in particular, NSC Council having to work with Bristol Council who in our view are driven by profit, and a mayor who is a complete moron and does not listen at all to the people who elected him.

This representation is made in the light of the proposed changes to remitted policies CS6 Green Belt, CS14 Distribution of new housing, CS28 Weston-super-Mare, CS30 Weston Villages, CS31 Clevedon, Nailsea and Portishead as a result of the new adopted policy CS13. These proposed changes amount to a redistribution of higher levels of housing without adequate justification, having regard to consequential effects and the requirement of the local authority, when exercising their plan making functio

Further to our conversation earlier today, I feel that from a strategic development plan over a 20 year period, it would be beneficial to encompass the Core Strategy Plan within the Joint Spatial Plan and on the assumption that South Gloucester, Bristol, and BAINES have also prepared their Core Strategy Plans, these should also be included. I attended a West of England Joint Spatial and Transport Plan workshop in November and from a planning perspective, the five spatial scenarios under consider

I read with interest the document relating to the above consultations and note the increase of housing requirement will have to increase from 13,400 to 20,985 with a review by the end of 2018. My first thought on this is that some day the whole question of overpopulation in this country will have to be dealt with, as land is limited, but I don't suppose either you or I will be around to see this happen.

The Town Council wishes to make the following comments on this consultation: 1. While Weston is arguably not very affected by the latest changes to the Core Strategy (in that it is already taking a large share of new housing development) the larger villages do need to accept more of the required increase in housing development. 2. There should be an amendment to the Green Belt boundary at South Bristol to allow housing development between the current urban boundary and the new A370 to A38 link
