Objection to Policies DM 13, 20, 33, 34, 48,50, 51,71,72,73 and to SCHEDULEs 1 & 2
Reasoned justification
The continued consultation in this Sites and Policies Plan on many policies including policy DM 13, 20, 33, 34, 48,50, 51,71,72,73 and SCHEDULEs 1 & 2 is inappropriate, following the decision of the High Court to remit strategic policies within the Core Strategy 2012. Until such time as the Council have addressed the matters referred to in Court Judgement, there are substantial elements of

Since it deals with development sites, it is part of the role of the Sites and Policies Plan to provide for the definition of Green Belt boundaries if and when the strategic part of the Local Plan, the Core Strategy, changes the general extent of the Green Belt. The Sites and Policies Plan, through this policy or preferably an additional Green Belt policy, should therefore at least explain how Green Belt boundaries will be dealt with, with what criteria for their definition for instance. Policy DM13: Development within the Green Belt
I would like to comment and object to the following wording within policy DM13, Development within the Green Belt 'Where the character of the area is one of a predominantly residential road characterised by large detached houses, on well screened and spacious plots (for example Cadbury Camp Lane north of Tickenham), it is possible that more substantial house extensions or replacement houses may be accommodated than in other parts of the Green Belt.

Policy DM13 - Development within the Green Belt
While it is appreciated that this policy relates specifically to development, the Council would like to make the point that we are very disappointed that no extension to the Green Belt has been made to offset the inset provided within the parish at Bristol Airport. As we have stated in the past, we feel strongly that the Green Belt boundary in this parish should be redrawn to the south along the line of the river Yeo.

B.1.1 Green Belt:
In the period to 2026 there should neither be, nor is there any need, for any development in the Green Belt surrounding parts of the village of Backwell. No very special circumstances are foreseeable and local support is unlikely to be forthcoming. The GB should continue to be fully protected. (CS6 &dBNP 7.12.)
Given a regional review of Green Belt there is a need to:
extend it to the west beyond Station Road where it exists to the north of the railway line This will reinfor

Key points for the Parish of Barrow Gurney are:
Retention of the Green Belt and rural character of the Parish and surroundings, to avoid further ribbon development on the A38 and elsewhere.

DM13 Development within the Green Belt
The LPA should recognise that Wessex Water has a range of assets located within the Green Belt.
Local plans should also include enabling policies to facilitate the positive determination of planning applications for necessary infrastructure. We request that North Somerset should therefore consider including supportive text for water and wastewater treatment sites that are located in the Green Belt or open countryside.
Capacity improvements to these asset

Sites and Policies Inter-active Map: Your map fails to include the historic boundary of the St Marys Road/Capenor area of Portishead. The Green Belt and settlement boundary's line should be co-terminus with the existing residential / historic buildings to take account of recent planning approvals and the historic buildings in this area. Green Belt boundaries should be clearly identifiable on the ground. I therefore suggest the settlement line/ Green Belt should be in line with the printed versio
