Policy DM23: Bus Interchange and Parking & Ride Facilities at Existing Railway Station [at Weston-Super-Mare, Worle, and Nailsea and Backwell Railway Stations] Network Rail supports these proposals. We are aware of the proposals at Worle but not those for Nailsea and Backwell or Weston. We would be happy to meet with the Council to discuss these.

Policy CS 10 of the adopted Core Strategy does not specifically identify Worle rail station as an area for which development proposals are likely to come forward during the Plan period, nor does it form part of the recently approved Weston Package (although the Package does include proposals for a major new car park and bus interchange on the south side of the railway).
