There needs to be a blanket ban on the loss of large family houses to flats, this is entirely the councils fault for allowing it to happen but also failing to provide new flats in new developments by allowing developers to build what they want, no good trying to provide them for social housing only, if new flats are not provided then where else would they be delivered if not by conversion of properties that are actually capable of being converted. Herein lies the problem and it is a circular one
