DM74 Undesignated Open Space Persimmon consider Policy DM74 is not fully justified by a "robust and up to date Assessment of the needs for open space, sports and recreation facilities", as required by Paragraph 73 of the NPPF.

Re: Consultation: Sites and Policies Plan - Designation of Local Green Space or Undesignated Green Space Request for designation of land at 60 Station Road, Nailsea Please take these comments into consideration when making decisions about additional areas of land to be designated as either Local Green Space or as Undesignated Green Space. My interest in this piece of land is twofold. I am a local resident of the area, and use the lane that runs the length of the southern boundary of the land

This proposed policy relies the interpretation of undesignated green space making a 'worthwhile contribution' contribution to the townscape, character, setting and visual attractiveness of the settlement. 'Worthwhile contribution' is too ambiguous a term to be used to judge the value of an area - it is suggested that this be replaced with a more substantive term such as 'significant contribution' or 'demonstrable contribution'.

The Town Council welcomes protection of various small areas of open amenity land that are important to the character of Nailsea (see map). The Town Council requests that it has first refusal on any such land in the ownership of North Somerset Council that is scheduled for disposal.
